Gabriela Alvarez

Gabriela was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and raised in Lamont, California. She joined United Way of Central Eastern California in January 2024, as an intern from Bakersfield College. She is currently working on receiving her Associate of Arts in Human Services. Volunteering at community events and growing up in a Hispanic household as an immigrant has aided in developing her desire to help and offer resources to those in need. In the short time she has been at UWCEC she has found it rewarding to assist communities through our work and to hear their gratitude for the assistance they receive.
