BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — United Way of Central Eastern California recently announced it will start a month-long project with the goal to distribute 60,000 meals within 30 days to COVID-19 victims and front-line health care workers.

Meal distribution will start May 19 and end June 27.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Tuesday through Fridays and brunch is served at 10 a.m. on Saturdays.

All meals will be distributed in the back parking lot of the Bakersfield Marriott located at 801 Truxton Ave.

The community is encouraged to donate, by donating $20, you could feed a family of five.
